BCP Subaru Claims Michigan 1/4 Mile ET and Trap Speed Record
As many of you already know, we started our performance shop on the wheels of many Subarus… turbocharged ones, that is. On August 14th 2016 we were able to secure the Michigan Subaru drag record for elapsed time (ET) and trap speed in the 1/4 mile. 10.01 @ 142mph was our pass on a day with a DA of 2,729 FT, which is pretty promising for our next trip to the strip. This car made an impressive 740whp on our dynojet just a few days before going to the track.
Ryan J, owner of this 2010 STI, instructed us that he wanted a drag monster that would also be friendly for a cruise down Woodward Ave (Metro Detroit’s ultimate cruising spot). The perfect recipe came from a IAG closed-deck engine. Being Michigan’s only Gold-Level IAG dealer, we are proud to offer some of the best Subaru engines on the planet via our facility as well as installing and building setups around them. Our belief is that with built Subarus, you need a strong foundation to build off of and IAG fits that bill and exceeds it as well. While Ryan is going to be happy at this power level, we are always interested in finding someone who is willing to push a little further with their Subaru.
Here are a few pictures of the car as well as a video of it in action at the track! Be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more videos of exciting cars that come out of the shop!
