X500+ Shows What It’s Capable Of

The BCP X500+ Turbo has already proven to be a staple in the stock-location Subaru turbo world. Through the stock 2.4 ” inlet, these turbos flow an incredible amount of air for their size, making them the best stock location bolt-on turbo option. We use Brent’s 2013 WRX as an example here.

Brent’s WRX received our STI500 build package (it available for 06+ WRX as well) recently and we wanted to show off a little of what it can do. With COBB flex fuel and Alex’s tuning, we were able to maximize the horsepower out of this setup. The car produced a very healthy 537whp and 529wtq on E85 fuel. With 400wtq available by 4100rpm in 3rd gear, it’s clear that we have an optimal spooling turbo that can hold big power to redline without dipping off like some others on the market. We have found that the plastic WRX intake manifold outflows the STI intake manifold and it certainly shows here. This car is using STOCK heads and cams and still remarkably holds nearly 500whp at redline on a stock inlet turbo. Typical results from this turbo will range from 475-525whp depending on supporting mods. It installs almost effortlessly using the factory drain and coolant lines.
